EVER READ THE BACK OF THE BOTTLE? Lots of "emu oil products" are appearing on the market. Not all oils are
refined at the same temperature, with the same care - from the freshest fat. Not all products have much oil in them,
either.... Ingredients are listed on the back, from most to least. Au Natural Hand and Body Lotion lists emu oil as
its second ingredient! This lotion is so rich in oil, it has many uses besides the obvious. After his mom smoothed it on
his sunburn, a little kid at the county fair returned the next day, with his own crumpled bills, to buy his own bottle....
My daughter uses it under her make-up - and has no more skin problems. After all, emu oil is non-comedogenic - it
doesn't clog pores!

CRN, August 2000, in response to, "What's your favorite product?"
"I think our favorite product is the pure Emu Oil. Because I have arthritis (degenerate) in most all of my joints, I have
a considerable amount of pain, especially in my shoulders, hands, and knees. My husband massages these areas
with the oil and the results are great relief. While this is not lasting, the pain is gone temporarily, and I can sleep
through the night." D., Iowa
"Thank you for sending (my husband) the Emu Oil for his burned hand. (Gasoline fumes ignited as he worked on his
car.) It is healed and it certainly healed quickly and without difficulty. I have used it on my very dry hands and they are
much better." H., NE
"You know our favorite use of emu oil, because I already told you. The reason for this is because it's so close to
natural lubrication... In other words, sex is still alive after seventy-five!" (Anonymous - at their request)
CRN, October 2000 - my own experience
I've been fighting allergies with prescriptions since April, but nothing helped my eyes. Each morning I'd wake up with
irritation/dryness/searing pain in my eyes. Sometimes I'd keep them shut until I could get to the bathroom, then use a
cool washcloth - and after five or more minutes, finally work them open. Owwwwwch! I used the opthalmic emu oil last
Monday night. Felt better Tuesday morning. Used it again Tuesday night - woke up Wednesday with NO PAIN!
(Note: do NOT use regular, refined oil in your eyes. Opthalmic grade is much finer, with different stabilizers.)

Gelcaps - getting the most from my emu oil! What happens when we take emu oil internally (now available in easy-to-
swallow gelcaps)? For many, it seems to reduce pain of arthritis and give extra energy. It also seems to reduce
cholesterol. J. can take only two per day, or his energy levels drive his wife crazy. But the pain in his shoulders
doesn't bother him anymore. H. takes six per day to reduce the pain in his arthritic knees and to keep himself going.
R. also takes six, due to arthritis in every bone of her body. She continues to work two very physical jobs, and has
given up her usual regimen of 16 aspirins per day.

"We were putting up hay, when the windrower disturbed a mess of ground-nesting bumble bees. I was stung on my
throat and ear. The ranch owner had some emu oil and dabbed it on the stings. The pain left." Jeff, NE

Running with the Emus! We gave emu oil and Cryo-Gel to a young friend, prior to her running the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society marathon.
Her story: "A runner's back becomes stiff, store and tired after all those hours on your feet and the repetitive pounding.
At about mile 22, my back needed some rejuvenation. I had (N) carry the bottle in his backpack as he rode along on
his bike, so he could hand it off while I was still running. I was able to rub myself down all the while keeping my pace.
The cooling tingle allowed me to take my focus off my back and I only wished I could have stopped, to rub some into
my feet! A good rubdown after the race enabled me to attend the victory party with my fellow athletes and celbrate into
the wee hours of the morning.
"As for the oil, that's a different story. Several miles in the middle of the race were drastically slanted down to the right. The right sides of our bodies took an additional beating, having to compensate for the ongoing, uneven weight
distribution. What I thought was a Charlie Horse in my right foot at mile 25 turned out to be an internal bruise. The
entire right side of my right foot was severely bruised from that part of the course. I couldn't put full pressure on my foot
or walk normally for days. I wasn't religious about applying oil to my foot, but I could tell the difference in the days
when I remembered to use it. My shoes didn't aggravate my feet and I could be on my feet for longer periods of time." L., NE
